Of course! We’re happy to personalize your jewelry in any way you want to the best of our ability, but when it comes to stamping both sides of a piece, we cannot always ensure that both of them will be totally “perfect.” Each of our pieces are hand-stamped with care, but slight scuffing may occur on the reverse side with two-sided personalization. This is because we use traditional metal dies, individually hammering each letter or symbol onto the bar or disk.
Things to keep in mind:
- The smaller the stamp, the less scuffing you’ll notice. We suggest smaller, compact letterstyles like Classic Tiny (1t), Modern Small and Extra Small (6s and 6xs).
- Bars are also less likely to scuff than disks (if you want to use a disk, we recommend the Constellation Disks as they’re a little thicker and the stamping on the reverse is less like to show through).
- On pendant-style necklaces, an alternative is to purchase an add-on disk or tag for the other personalization. This will insure both inscriptions are clearly applied.
- Rings can be done on the inside, but the lettering can get slightly smashed during the finishing process. We cannot do backstamping on Venetian or Hammered finish pieces as it will ruin the texture.
How to order backstamping:
To add backstamping to a piece, you’ll want to purchase an $8 custom upgrade with the item (this upgrade is not required for solid gold pieces, which include free personalization).
